The opening night of
the balloons portion of the 2025 Balloons Over 66
was celebrated with a ribbon cut in front of the
Comfort Inn & Suites in Lincoln. This year there are
38 pilots with their colorful balloons who are
dotting the skies around Lincoln. The first official
launch for the public was held immediately after the
ribbon cut, with balloons launching from Open Arms
Church on Rt. 10.
On Saturday evening there will be a 6:15-6:30p.m.
launch from Open Arms Church on Illinois Rt. 10.
Balloons will then return to the launch site for the
evening glow event that is expected to start at
approximately 8 p.m.
