LTEC is proud to recognize our April
Student of the Month, Lillian Carrillo. Lillian is a standout senior
in the Cosmetology program. Lillian was nominated by her instructor,
Vanessa Komnick, she consistently demonstrates what it means to be a
dedicated, positive, and driven student. Lillian is the daughter of
Shawna and Dakota Martinie.
According to Komnick, Lillian comes to class each day prepared,
motivated, and ready to learn. She maintains a positive attitude and
is always willing to step outside of her comfort zone to try
something new, and essential quality in the ever-evolving field of
cosmetology. “What truly sets her apart is her willingness to
support and encourage others,” Komnick shared, “Lillian is always
quick to lend a helping hand to her classmates.”
Lillian’s commitment extends beyond the classroom. She balances her
academic responsibilities with a strong work ethic at her job at
Subway, showing the same level of dedication and responsibility in
all that she does. Whether in school or at work, she leads by
example through her positivity and determination.
She chose to pursue cosmetology to gain a better understanding of
the art of hair styling, and she has embraced every opportunity to
grow her skills. One of her favorite parts of LTEC is the extended
class periods, which allow her to build stronger connections with
her teachers and dive deeper into hands-on learning.

After graduation, Lillian plans to
become an elementary school teacher, a path that reflects her
supportive nature and passion for helping other succeed. Outside of
school, she enjoys watching movies, reading, and spending quality
time with family and friends.
As Student of the Month,Lillian will receive a $50 award sponsored
by the Rotary Club of Lincoln. Lillian is a shining example of
leadership, kindness, and perseverance. LTEC is proud to celebrate
her accomplishments and looks forward to seeing all she achieves in
the future.
