The Lincoln Area Wrestling Booster
Association is pleased to announce that Arrington Mauhar has been
awarded the 2026 Walt Landers Wrestling Scholarship. Arrington will
receive a $1,000 scholarship to apply toward her tuition as she
prepares to attend Heartland Community College this fall to pursue
her associate's degree in Horticulture.
Arrington is the daughter of Jason and Ashleigh Mauhar and the
oldest of three children. During all four years of high school, she
served as a statistician for the LCHS wrestling program. In addition
to wrestling, Arrington participated in track and soccer. She also
works at Wild Woof Inn and By Design Landscaping.
It is especially noteworthy that Arrington represents the third
generation of her family to be involved in Lincoln wrestling. Her
father was a state qualifier at 152 pounds for LCHS in 1998, coached
at Lincoln Junior High School for several years and started a
college wrestling program at Lincoln Christian University. Her
grandfather, Tom Mauhar, also coached wrestling at Lincoln Junior
High School for several years.
The Walt Landers Wrestling Scholarship is available to any senior
wrestler, statistician, or manager involved in the Lincoln Community
High School wrestling program. Applicants must have participated in
the program for at least three years, including their senior year,
to be eligible.
Scholarship requirements include:
• Any senior wrestler, statistician, or manager who has been
involved in the LCHS wrestling program for at least three years
(including senior year)
