Lincoln Park District provides a night of fun and fireworks honoring the Fourth of July

[July 05, 2025]

Thanks to the Lincoln Park District, children and adults had two opportunities to celebrate the Fourth of July in Lincoln. On Thursday evening the part district hosted its family fun outing at the district facility on Primm Road, starting with an evening of fun, food, and live music that culminated into a spectacular fireworks show at dark.

The evening began at 6 p.m. with food trucks, ballon artists, bouncy houses, a big bubble foam party and live music for everyone.

The events hosted were all quite popular with balloons, foam, bounce houses and the food trucks.

As the evening progressed the crowds grew and by dark the putting green area of the park district was dozens deep in people lined up to watch the show.

Those who came to see something great, surely were not disappointed. This year the fireworks began strong with many occasions when there were multiple explosions blooming brightly colored starbursts of various shapes into the sky above the green space.

Time seemed to fly as the fireworks filled the air, and soon it was time for the grand finale, and it was indeed grand. With almost two minutes of continual color bursts, the crowd was very well pleased with the show and wasted no time cheering and shouting when the event was over.

In spite of the heat of the day, the temperature Thursday evening was pleasant, and everyone appeared to be relaxed and enjoying the night.
