Balloons Over 66 Inflatables and Food Trucks on Saturday

[September 01, 2026]

As the humidity hung in the air on Saturday afternoon, festival-goers came downtown Lincoln to grab a lunch, an afternoon snack, or a sweet treat from the food trucks downtown. Many grabbed lunch like walking tacos, corn dogs, walleye, and pizza, while others got cookie dough, lemonade shake-ups, and Lotus drinks. The sidewalks leading into the downtown businesses were also decorated with festive chalk drawings by local schoolchildren who came out to share their artistic talents with the community.

People also enjoyed the vendors down Broadway Street and purchased crafts and goodies. At the corner of Broadway and Kickapoo, children enjoyed activities. There were a few inflatable bounce houses, a face painting station, and a balloon animal artist. Children enjoyed the inflatables with their colorful face paint designs. They were also enjoying watching the balloon artist create different colorful creatures for them. Holly from the Farm provided the face painting.
