Business Spotlight: Joe Ryan Country Financial
[June 27, 2026] This
week, we turn our spotlight to a familiar face on the square. From
planning for the financial future to protecting their current assets,
Lincoln and Logan County residents have trusted Joe Ryan of Country
Financial. He has served the area for 25 years.
Joe began his career after college when Country Financial (then Country
Companies) was recommended to him by an insurance industry professional.
Since then, he has built his business by becoming a Financial Advisor of
Country Trust Bank, a Registered Representative of Country Capital
Management Company, and a Country Financial Insurance Agent. Through
these designations, Joe can provide financial services such as
retirement rollovers and annuities, as well as life, car, home, and
umbrella insurance. Joe began his career just down the square at the
Farm Bureau building but eventually talked John Guzzardo into converting
his current space into an office. This location provides more visibility
for his business.
When asked what his favorite things about running a business are, Joe
says he enjoys meeting all the different people, helping families
prepare for their future, and the freedom to organize his days. He says
that the most rewarding part of his business is being able to take care
of and help people in the worst time of their lives, whether that is the
loss of a loved one or a car crash, but he also enjoys helping his
clients in the best times of their lives, like when they are
transitioning into retirement.

As an agent, Joe says the best advice he would give to those
starting fresh in the industry is to listen carefully to your
clients and show your appreciation for them.
