[February 28, 2026]  If you are looking for home, auto, farm, life or commercial insurance, Michelle Bauer COUNTRY Financial located at 211 S. McLean Street in Lincoln is the perfect destination.

Bauer says, “COUNTRY Financial is more than an insurance office. I treat you like family – especially when you need me most. I’m committed to understanding the needs of each person who walks through the door and provide them with customized protection for the things that matter most. My hope is to build relationships with multiple generations of clients that lead to a foundation of trust insuring their homes, cars, farms, businesses, and lives. COUNTRY Financial just celebrated 100 years and I’m proud to be a part of that legacy.”

Bauer has been in business for 11 Years and all of them have been at her current location on McLean Street. In 2015, she took over the agency after her father Charlie Williams retired.

Bauer said, “Working for COUNTRY Financial in Lincoln provided me several personal and professional opportunities. I was able to continue to help my community and carry on a legacy of service that my father – Charlie Williams – had started.”

Part of what Bauer enjoys about her job is “being my own boss with the support of a great company that provides me and my family an opportunity to constantly grow and learn, and ultimately I get to directly impact the lives of my friends, family and community members in a way that is important to them by providing a sense of security.”

In choosing her office location, Bauer explained, “the people of Logan County are the people who directly contribute to my family’s lives. I want to be the same!”

Bauer provides home, auto, farm, life and commercial insurance. The most popular types of insurance Bauer provides are in the areas of home and auto. She explained that life insurance is something many people do not realize she offers.

To Bauer, the most rewarding part of owning a small business in a small community is helping the people in the community protect what matters most to them and knowing that they can count on her in difficult situations.

Bauer is heavily involved in the community as well. “I belong to several organizations and serve on several boards.” These include serving as Lincoln Memorial Hospital Board Chair, Land of Lincoln CEO Board Chair, Treasurer of Logan County Professionals Network, Fundraising Co-Chair of Lincoln Rotary and being a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

As a business owner, the advice Bauer would give to someone starting fresh and hoping to accomplish the same goal is to “know that it isn’t for the weak – you are often the CEO and janitor. However, the ability to build a brand, reputation and service that you completely control is very rewarding.”

Bauer’s COUNTRY Financial office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. She can also be reached at (217) 735-9705 or by email at michelle.bauer@countryfinancial.com
