Lincoln Memorial Foundation launches 2026 “Flags for Health”
[March 06, 2026]
LINCOLN – The Lincoln Memorial Foundation has kicked off its 2026
Flags for Health campaign and is inviting community members to sponsor
an American flag along the LMH Wellness Trail in honor of loved ones and
in support of local healthcare.
Last November, flags lined the Wellness Trail during the week of
Veterans Day as a visible tribute to those who served.
“The Veterans Day preview was incredibly powerful,” said Sarah Helm,
director of Lincoln Memorial Foundation. “Seeing the flags displayed
along the Wellness Trail reminded us how deeply our community values
both service and quality healthcare available locally. Flags for Health
gives families a meaningful way to honor someone special while making a
direct investment in the future of health right here in our community.”
Only 100 flags are available and sponsorships are first come, first
served. The $250 sponsorship means an American flag will be displayed
for one week during the following patriotic holidays in 2026:
Memorial Day (May 22–29)
Independence Day (July 3–10)
Veterans Day (November 6–13)

Donor names will be displayed in the LMH lobby during each designated
flag week, and honoree names will be shared online. Proceeds from Flags
for Health support the foundation’s work to enhance patient care through
critical equipment and technology, strengthen the local healthcare
workforce through education initiatives and expand community health and
wellness programs that improve access and outcomes close to home.
Community members are encouraged to reserve their flag by May 1, 2026.
Sponsorships may be completed online
here.
