Terry was born on August 10, 1952, in Lincoln, IL., the son of Harold Dean “Pick” and Gladys Lorene (Scott) Moore. He married Nancy Jane Ingram on October 7, 1972 in Sherman, IL. They were married for 49 years before Nancy Jane’s passing on February 2, 2021.

Terry is survived by his three children, Tyler Moore, Tara (Aaron) Larson, and Travis (Sarah) Moore; four grandchildren, Briar, Trey, Tinlee, and Blane. Also surviving are his two brothers, Scott (Tami) Moore, and Tom (Theresa) Moore; his mother-in-law, Gladys Guinn, and brother-in-law, Richard Ingram; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, “Pick” and Gladys Moore; his wife, Nancy Jane; and his older brother, Alan Moore.

Terry was born and raised in Mt. Pulaski, graduating from Mt. Pulaski High School in 1970. He attended Lincoln College and then joined the Illinois Army National Guard. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Oakland Raiders Football, the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed playing slow pitch softball with his brothers for many years, and always enjoyed visiting with people in the community.

Terry never knew a stranger. He spent 20 years on the Elkhart Village Board, serving as both Mayor and Village Trustee. Most of all, Terry enjoyed coaching his kids baseball teams, and loved to watch his kids and grandkids play sports.
