- Charles W. “Charlie” Peddicord, 84, of New Holland, IL., passed
away on Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home surrounded by his
family.

Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 4 - 7 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Service:
Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the funeral
home.

Obituary
Charles W. “Charlie”
Peddicord, 84, of New Holland, IL., passed away on
Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home surrounded by
his family.
Charlie was born on April 29, 1941, in Lincoln, IL.,
the son of Henry and Sophia (Westen) Peddicord. He
married Karen McCullough on July 13, 1991 in New
Holland. She survives.
He is also survived by his two children, Cody (Chelsie)
Peddicord and Kayla (fiance’ Collin Mustain)
Peddicord; and his two granddaughters, Sophia and
Katherine.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, and
infant daughter, Stephanie Sophia Peddicord.
Charlie has owned and operated Peddicord Farms in
New Holland since 1965. He was very proud to say
that this past year was his 60th crop harvest. He
served as President of the Ag-Land FS Board for over
17 years, and also spent time on the Logan County
Farm Bureau Board, and the Pleasant Valley Cemetery
Board. |
Most of all, Charlie
loved his family and was very proud of his children
and grandchildren, passing along his love for
Hampshire Hogs to his granddaughter, Sophia.
Funeral Services for
Charlie will take place at 10:00am on Thursday,
January 8, 2026 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place the
night prior, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 4:00
to 7:00 pm also at the Funeral Home. Burial will
follow the service on Thursday at Pleasant Valley
Cemetery in rural Middletown, IL.. Memorials may be
made in Charlie’s memory to the Middletown Fire
Protection District.
