Christine I. McGee, 85, of Elkhart passed away on Sunday, December
29, 2024 at St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln. |

January 18, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Peasley Funeral

11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary
Christine I. McGee, 85, of Elkhart
passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at St.
Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. McGee will be held on
Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln with Pastor Bob Rea
officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of
the service.
Burial will be at the New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Christine Irene Johnson was born on November 22,
1939 in Macomb, Illinois the daughter of Ralph and
Irene Bagley Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter Teri (Darren)
Parrish, daughter-in-law Theresa McGee, three grandchildren: Adam (Robert) McGee,
Isaac McGee and Hanna (Gus) Schmillen. One great
grandson: Mason. close friend and niece:: Nancy
Krusz. along with several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son: Timothy McGee,
three brothers and two sisters. |
Christine graduated from the Macomb
High School. She retired from the Lincoln Community
High School as the Director of Cafeteria services.
She was member of the Elkhart
Christian Church. Her hobbies included woodworking,
painting portraits, gardening and her cats.
Memorials may be made to the Elkhart Fire and Rescue
Department or the Humane Society of Logan County.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
