Obituary
Sarah M. Ford, 87, of
Cornland, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 1,
2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Sarah was born on May 19, 1938, in Lincoln, IL; the
daughter of Harry and Minnie (Anderson) Turner. She
married Donald Henry Ford on August 31, 1957, in
Elkhart, IL. He preceded her in death on July 2,
2018.
Sarah is survived by two sons, Kevin (Jama) Ford of
Sugar Grove, IL, and Kelby Ford of Elkhart, IL; five
grandchildren, Brynn, Ryan, Sam, Lizzie, and Nathan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, Don, and one brother, David Turner.
Sarah enjoyed gardening, traveling, and collecting
antiques. She was also a faithful member of the Mt.
Pulaski Christian Church. Most of all, Sarah enjoyed
spending time with her family. |
Funeral Services for
Sarah will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 6,
2026, at Mt. Pulaski Christian Church. Visitation
will be two hours prior to the service from 9:00 to
11:00am also at the church. Burial will follow the
funeral service at Elkhart Cemetery. Memorials may
be made in Sarah’s memory to Mt. Pulaski Christian
Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
