Obituary
Perry C. Kohl, 83, of
Lincoln passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at
his home.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February
27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church
in New Holland with Rev. Noah Kerstein officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26,
2026 from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peasley
Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Richmond Grove Cemetery in
rural New Holland.
Perry Cross Kohl was born on September 24, 1942 in
Lincoln the son of Hubert Lloyd and Eileen Cross
Kohl. He was united in marriage to Emily H. Holzer
on June 2, 1972. She survives.
Also surviving is his son: Eric J. (Danielle) Kohl,
one daughter: Stacey (Kevin) Howard. Four
grandchildren: Christopher (Danielle) Howard,
Courtney Howard, Annie Kohl and Willilam Kohl. Seven
great grandchildren. One brother: Barry Kohl and one
sister: Sally (Ron) Correll. Several nieces and
nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one
granddaughter: Kayla Howard.
Perry graduated from the New Holland High School in
1960. He then attended the University of Illinois. |

He was employed as a
Rural Postal Carrier for many years. He also farmed
and raised livestock in Sheridan Township for many
years. He also was a member and salesman for Farm
Mutual Insurance Company for many years.
He was a member of the
Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln. He was a former
member of the Logan County Mounted Patrol with the
Logan County Sheriff's office.
Perry was a member of the New Holland Alumni
Association and served as President in 1975.
He was co-chair of the 1975 Centennial Celebration
and a member of the committee for the
Sesquicentennial in 2025.
His hobbies included playing pinocle at the Oasis.
Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church in
New Holland.
