[March 28, 2026]  MT. PULASKI - Donald “Donny” Neal, 79, of Mt. Pulaski, IL, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at The Loft Rehabilitation of Decatur, IL.

Visitation:  Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 10 - 11 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.

Service:  Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Obituary

Donald “Donny” Neal, 79, of Mt. Pulaski, IL, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at The Loft Rehabilitation of Decatur, IL.

Donny was born September 13, 1946, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Darrell and Evelyn (Fullriede) Neal. He married Joan Miller on January 2, 1971, in Mt. Pulaski.

Donny is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Michelle (Rob) Bridges; grandchildren, Tyler, Dakota, and Brooklyn; and his sister, Peggy Neal. Additionally, Donny is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Donald Eugene Neal.

Donny loved agriculture in Logan County; he and his wife Joan owned and operated Hilltop Farm in Lincoln, he also tended to and raised cattle, rabbits, and he could always be found behind the wheel of a combine come harvest time.

Funeral services for Donny will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski. Visitation will take place one hour prior from 10:00 - 11:00 am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorials may be made in Donny’s name to the Lake Fork Community Center or Mt. Pulaski Historical Society and Museum.
