Obituary
Duane L. Windmiller,
75, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, March 26,
2026 at his home surrounded by his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April
2, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Quiram Peasley Funeral
Home in Atlanta with Mr. Doug Maris officaiting.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00
p.m. at funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date at Camp Butler
National Cemetery in Springfield.
Duane Luy Windmiller was born on July 20, 1950 in
Kankakee, Illinois the son of Robert and Almeda Luy
Windmiller. He was united in marriage to Susan
Powell on May 23, 1981.
She survives.
Also surviving are his children: Amanda (Josh)
Koonce , Andrew (Andrew Hanson) Windmiller and
Robert (Janelle) Windmiller. Five grandchildren:
Noah Tosh, James (Josiah) Allen, Mason Tosh, Gabriel
Koonce, Arya Koonce. Two brother: Glynn (Karen)
Billingsley, Keith Windmiller One sister: Roberta
Windmiller. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one
daughter: Ashley Windmiller.

Duane graduated from
East Ridge High School in 1968 and then served in
the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Aqua
Illinois in Kankakee after 50 years of service.
He was a member of
Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church
in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
He was an avid history person, loved doing cross
word puzzles and enjoyed watching the Chicago White
Sox, Black Hawks and Chicago Bears.
Memorials may be made to Parkinson Foundation.
