Obituary
Luann (McCann) Zessin,
70, of Mason City (formerly of Lincoln), passed away
on March 21, 2026, at her home.
Luann was born October 31, 1955, in Decatur, IL, the
daughter of Virgil and Norma (Sappington) McCann.
She married Kenneth Zessin in 1984. He survives.
Luann is survived by her children, Shannon (Wesley)
Fuchs, Shana (B.J. Huskins) Reed-Harper, Kenny (Alishai)
Zessin II, and Luke (Char) Zessin; grandchildren,
Janessa, Mackenzie (Sydney), Bryton, Cora, Nathan,
Julianne (Dylan), Anastasia, Madison, Alaina, and
Luke Daniel; and three great-grandchildren, Malia,
Xaely, and Onyx.
She was preceded in death by her parents and
brother, Gordon McCann.
Luann was a member at Open Arms Church in Lincoln.
She enjoyed bowling with her family and spending
time at Spoon River Drive. Luann loved her cats, but
most of all she enjoyed spending time with her
family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew
and loved her. |
A Celebration of
Luann’s life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday,
March 28, 2026, at Open Arms Church in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place one hour prior, from
11:00 am - 12:00 pm, also at the church. A burial at
White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Canton, IL will
take place at a later date. Memorials may be made in
Luann’s name to her family in ℅ Shana Reed-Harper.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
