Obituary
Joyce Colleen Dutz,
90, of Lincoln, IL., passed away on April 3, 2026,
at St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Center.
Joyce was born on October 9, 1935 in Lincoln, IL.,
the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Garrison) Dutz.
She is survived by her sister: Gladys Dutz of
Lincoln, IL., three brothers: David (Helen) Dutz of
Belvidere, IL., Daniel (Bev) Dutz of Oro Valley,
AZ., and Doug (Karen) Dutz of Springfield, IL., and
a sister in-law: Joyce Dutz. Joyce also survived by
three generations of nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and
brother: Charles Dutz.
Joyce was born and lived all of her life in Lincoln,
IL. She attended Central School and Lincoln
Community High School, graduating in 1953. She was
also a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. |
Joyce was a homemaker
and caregiver - first for her four brothers and
sister, and later in life for her parents. Joyce
devoted her life to helping and supporting her
family. After her parents passed away, Joyce lived
independently for several years in the family home
and spent her final years being cared for at St.
Clara’s Rehab and Senior Center.
Funeral Services for Joyce will be at 11:00am on
Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place
for 1 hour prior to the service (from 10:00 to
11:00am) on Thursday, also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service on Thursday at Lake
Bank Cemetery in rural Latham. Memorials may be made
in Joyce’s memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
