Carole L. Meyer, 81, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, April
11, 2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.

Carole L. Meyer, 81,
of Washington, passed away on Saturday, April 11,
2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
Carole was born on July 12, 1944, in Tuscola, IL;
the daughter of the late Bernard and Constance
(Tate) McCullough. Carole married Robert “Bob” Meyer
on August 10, 1962, in Atlanta, IL.
Carole worked at Martin foods and then at IGA for
many years as a cashier. She truly loved her time
spent working at the store and formed a bond with
all the customers she served.
Carole took pride in caring for her family and loved
to spend time with them as well as with her many
friends. Apart from family and friends Carole also
loved animals.
Carole is survived by her loving husband of 63 years
Bob Meyer of Washington, her son Mark (Lisa) Meyer
of Washington, her daughter Marcy Arnold of Elgin,
IL, her sisters Kathy “Kag” Aue and Cindy Singleton
both of Lincoln, as well as several nieces, nephews,
extended family, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in
death by her son-in-law Russ Arnold.
To honor Carole’s wishes, services will be kept
private. Cremation rites will be accorded by Deiters
Funeral Home in Washington.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name
to T.A.P.S. in Pekin.
