[April 16, 2026]  OLATHE, KS - Aubrey Eugene “Gene” Price, 92, of Lincoln, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society, Olathe, Kansas.

Service:  Private family graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.

Aubrey Eugene “Gene” Price, 92, of Lincoln, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society, Olathe, Kansas.

Private family graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.

Gene was born on August 13, 1933, in Waynesville, Illinois, to James Leo and Grace Fern Longworth Price. He lived most of his life in Lincoln. On August 4, 1962, in Elkhart, Illinois, Gene married Janet Lee. She preceded Gene in death.

He is survived by his children: Bradley (Sheri) Price, Baldwin City, Kansas, Steven Price, Lincoln, Illinois and Suzanne (Robert) Crain, Gardner, Kansas; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents James and Grace; wife Janet; daughter-in- law Angela Price; and siblings: George, Billy, Frances, Fred, Polly, Barbara and Jack.

Gene had served in the United States Army. He worked for 39 years as a tool and die maker for Cutler Hammer, later known as Eaton Corporation.

 Gene enjoyed listening to fiddle music, woodworking, and creating stained glass. He liked flying remote-control airplanes and working in his garage. His most cherished time was spent with his family.

Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Family Catholic Church Food Pantry in Lincoln.

Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln is assisting the family with local arrangements.
