[April 16, 2026]  FARMER CITY - Jeanetta WB Snipes, 89, of Urbana, formerly of Farmer City went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2:30 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Service:  A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Jeanetta WB Snipes, 89, of Urbana, formerly of Farmer City went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2:30 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Jeanetta Jones was born on December 10, 1936, in Booneville, Missouri, the daughter of Roy Winiford and Irene Nellie McLean Jones. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Archie Ray Snipes, on February 14, 1953. She couldn't wait to be reunited with him. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2014.

Surviving Jeanetta are her three children: Thressa (Bryan) Todd, Allen Snipes, and Greg (Lori) Snipes; nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, plus another great-great-grandchild coming soon; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Snipes.

Jeannetta lived at Prairie Winds Assisted Living in Urbana. She enjoyed sharing her faith in Jesus with other residents and staff. She loved hanging out with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed going on car rides and fast food. She loved her dog Toby and was looking forward to seeing him again.

Jeanetta was the former owner of Angel Bear Ceramics in Farmer City and Allied Printing in Mahomet.
Memorials may be made to her family.

Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
