Obituary
Shirley Jean Tibbs,
76, of Lincoln, passed away May 6, 2026, at
Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until 11 AM Friday,
May 15, 2026, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral
Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM with
burial after in Lawndale cemetery.
Shirley was born March 22, 1950, in Lincoln, IL.,
the daughter of James Daniels and Betty (Farnam)
Daniels. She enjoyed camping, thrift shopping,
garage sales, dancing, and Elvis Presley music.
Shirley retired as a home health aide in 2013. She
was of the Christian/Baptist faith. |
Survivors include her
children: Jeannia Griffin, Rex and Sally Griffin,
Tommy and Kristin Tibbs, Terry and Tina Tibbs, 16
grandchildren, 18 grandchildren, her sister Ann
Daniels, and her companion Jamie Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Thomas Tibbs, her brother Jimmy, great
grandchildren Isaac and Angel Baby, and her little
dog Cindy.
