[April 15, 2026]  GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Marjorie Wilmert, born Betty Marjorie Smith, 95, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on January 29, 2026.

Service: A graveside service will be held at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln, Illinois, on May 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

Marjorie Wilmert, born Betty Marjorie Smith, 95, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on January 29, 2026.

Marjorie was born on March 15, 1930, in Cave Ridge, Kentucky, to Fred Smith and Edna (Harper) Smith. At the age of 12, she moved to Lincoln, Illinois with her family, where she later graduated from high school. She moved from Lincoln to Grand Rapids in the spring of 2009 to be closer to family.

Marjorie built a successful career as a Tupperware sales manager, becoming one of the top sales managers in the United States for many years and earning numerous sales awards throughout her career. She was also deeply involved in her church community, where her faith and dedication were evident to all who knew her.

She was known for her kindness, strength, generosity, and her lovely sense of humor. Marjorie had a deep and abiding faith, knowing Jesus in a way that inspired those around her, and she sincerely hoped others would come to know Him as she did.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Bob (Robert Wilmert); her parents; her sisters, Laura Nell “Tab” (Smith), Joanne (Klockenga), and Nancy (Sprague); and her brother, Larry Smith. She is survived by her sister, Sue (Teng) of Chicago, Illinois.

She is also survived by her two children, Terry Wilmert of Ada, Michigan, and Don Wilmert of Marshall, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Sarah Perks, David Wilmert, Stacey Wilmert, and Randy Wilmert; as well as ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln, Illinois, on May 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

Marjorie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
