- Scott Louis Smith, 65, of Lincoln, IL, passed away
on May 27, 2025. He was born on August 25, 1959, in Lincoln,
Illinois.

Service:
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June
7, 2025, from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. at the Knights of
Columbus Hall in Lincoln, Illinois.

Obituary
Scott Louis Smith, 65, of Lincoln,
IL, passed away on May 27, 2025. He was born on
August 25, 1959, in Lincoln, Illinois.
Scott is survived by his loving mother, Jane Perry;
his sisters, Robin Agee (Jeff) and Jodi Washam
(Rick); his devoted wife of 11 years, Darla; his
children, Clinton Smith, Samantha Paulus (Bret),
Merritt Burns (Erin), Steve Shanle (Holley), and
Sarah Pollock (Jason); and his ten cherished
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
father, Robert Smith.
Scott was an attentive husband, dedicated father,
grandfather, and friend. Known for his warm
hospitality, he always welcomed family and friends
into his home, often with a cold beverage in hand
and a story to share. His passion for music was
matched only by his love for the Kansas City Chiefs
and the St. Louis Cardinals, and his energy on game
days was infectious. |
Scott’s family and friends will
remember his kindness, his sense of humor, and the
way he made everyone feel like they belonged.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June
7, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Knights of
Columbus Hall in Lincoln, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
Logan County Humane Society and the Knights of
Columbus, Lincoln, Illinois.
