[June 16, 2026]  LINCOLN - William "Wil" F. Buse, 25, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation:  Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln.

Service:  Graveside services will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Harmony Cemetery in rural Beason

Obituary

William "Wil" F. Buse, 25, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Graveside Services for Wil will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Harmony Cemetery in rural Beason with Rev. Joseph Dondanville officiating. Following the graveside services, a luncheon will be held at the Beason-Chestnut Park Pavilion with an Open House following from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p. m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln.
A rosary service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday prior to the visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church.

William Frank Buse was born on March 4, 2001, in Lincoln, the son of Robert W. and Kathleen Klockenga Buse.

He is survived by his parents; one sister: Molly (Kyle Dyke) Buse; three brothers: Ben (Randi Lynn) Buse, Max Buse and Sam (Amanda) Buse; his maternal grandmother: Teresa Klockenga; three nieces: Ellie, Vera and Eliza; and his girlfriend: Alivia Catey. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Alvin D. Klockenga, paternal grandparents: Jeanette and Wayne Buse, and Uncle Darren Buse.

Wil graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 2019, where he was elected Prom King. He was active in 4-H, Future Farmers of America, the Bass Fishing Team, and tennis during his high school years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln and the APA Pool League in Logan County. He had been employed at Roland Machinery in Springfield as a Machinery Coordinator.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a memorial scholarship currently being created by his family.

Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
