Michael John Jones
Sr., 70, of Mason City, passed away Friday. June 12,
2026, at his home.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home.
Mike was born June 12, 1956, in Chicago, IL., the
son of Tai and Barbara (Thornton) Matsui. He married
Debra Grabow on June 19, 1982. He was a Chicago
sports enthusiast. He loved spending time with his
kids and grandkids. Mike was musically talented and
loved music. He was humorous, interesting, and kind.
Survivors include his wife Debra Jones, 5 children:
Christian Jones, Robert Jones, Michael John Jones
Jr., Vicki Hermes, and Amy Jones; grandchildren:
Ryder, Renly, Jude, Noah, Miranda,Wyatt,and Kaiden;
his brother Jim Jones also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several
siblings.
