Obituary
Karen Kaye Peddicord,
60, of New Holland, IL., passed away on Saturday,
June 20, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving
family.
Karen was born April 15, 1966, Lincoln, IL., the
daughter of Gerald and Sharon (Allison-Aldag)
McCullough. She married Charles “Charlie” Peddicord
on July 13, 1991, in New Holland. He preceded her in
death on January 2, 2026.
Karen is survived by her two children, Cody (Chelsie)
Peddicord and Kayla (Collin Mustain) Peddicord; two
granddaughters, Sophia and Katherine; and her two
siblings, Rhonda (Scott) Broom and Mark McCullough.
She is preceded in death by her father, and her
husband, Charlie.
Karen graduated from New Holland-Middletown High
School in 1984. While in high school, she was active
in FFA, FHA, and showed pigs. Karen and her husband
Charlie farmed for many years together in rural New
Holland. |
She enjoyed gardening,
baking, cooking, sewing, antique shopping, and most
of all being with her family (especially her
granddaughters).
Funeral Services for
Karen will take place at 10:00am Friday, June 26 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place the evening prior on
Thursday, June 25, from 4:00 to 7:00pm also at the
funeral home. Burial will follow the service at
Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Middletown. Memorials may
be made in Karen’s name to the American Cancer
Society or Middletown Fire Protection District.
