Chestnut, passed away on June 4, 2026, at his home.

Obituary
Charles Henry
“Charlie” Stoll, 84, of Groveland, CA, formerly of
Chestnut, passed away on June 4, 2026, at his home.
Charlie was born June 9, 1941, in Lincoln, IL, the
son of Carl and Edna (Koenig) Stoll. He married
Alice Wosnum. She survives.
Charlie is also survived by his brother, Clarence
(Marilyn) Stoll and nephews, Todd (Laurie) and Darin
(Jennifer) Stoll.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Charlie graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School in
1959 as the salutatorian. He attended University of
Illinois Engineering School, graduating in 1964 with
a masters degree. Charlie then began his career
working for Sandia Laboratories as a military
weapons engineer for many years before going to
General Electric. He later retired from GE in 1999.

Outside of work,
Charlie enjoyed golf, fishing, singing, and
entertaining family and friends.
A memorial service for Charlie will be held at 10:00
am on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Zion Lutheran
Church of Chestnut, IL. A burial will follow the
service at Laenna Cemetery.
