Obituary
Phillip David
Pickett-Barr, 23, of Bloomington, IL, passed away at
The Forum at Carle in Urbana after a 13-year battle
with Epilepsy.
He had a happy-go-lucky nature that never wavered
and was always quick to laughter. He had an
indomitable spirit and was physically tough as
nails, often described by his peers as being “‘just
built different”.
He will be remembered for being kind, funny,
empathetic, patient, and a good listener.
Phil was an avid movie and music lover of all
genres. His playlist was always on. He was a dog
lover, even having a successful dog sitting
business.
He loved board games and card games, but nothing as
much as playing video games online with his various
groups of friends. Gaming was life. |

His perfect day would
be gaming with his friends with his Spotify playing
in the background while he snacked on chocolate,
Cheez-Its, and Code Red Mountain Dew.
He is survived by a big, loving family, and loyal
friends.
A private celebration of Phillip’s life will be
held. Donations in his name can be made to the
Humane Society of Logan County. Cremation rites have
been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln.
