[September 01, 2026]  BEASON - Douglas J. Lessen, 71, of Beason, passed away at Goldwater Care in Clinton on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Service:  Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Douglas J. Lessen, 71, of Beason, passed away at Goldwater Care in Clinton on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Douglas Jay Lessen was born May 19, 1955, in Lincoln, a son of Galen E. and Betty J. Manus Lessen. He was united in marriage to Wanda L. Harris Weir on October. 1, 1982. She survives.

In addition to his wife, Wanda, Doug is survived by one step-son, Christopher (Megan) Weir; his beloved dog, Bella; and siblings: Dana Lessen, Gordon Lessen, Brett (Ronda) Lessen, Gaye Lynne (Kim) Archione, and David (Audra) Lessen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Bruce Lessen; and two nephews, Bruce Lessen II and Daniel Lessen.

Doug attended Olympia High School and had worked at Lehn & Fink in Lincoln and then for Roger Boch Farming. He was a big fan of NASCAR and enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.

Memorials in his memory may be made to Humane Society of Logan County.

Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln is assisting the family with arrangements.
