Obituary
Juanita L. Josserand, 89, of Lincoln,
passed away at Copper Creek Villages in Lincoln on
Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Services for Juanita will be held on Saturday,
September 13, 2025, Zion Lutheran Church in Mt.
Pulaski. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m.
with Rev. Jonathon Buescher officiating. Cremation
Rites have been accorded.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00
a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski.
Burial will be at the Leanna Cemetery in rural
Chestnut.
Juanita L. Hein was born August 27, 1936, in
Chestnut, the daughter of Erich and Dona Louise
Swain Hein. She was first married to Richard “Fuzz”
F. Froschauer. She then married Gordon Josserand,
they later divorced.
She is survived by two children: Richard “Rick” E.
(Diana) Froschauer and Denise (Ronnie) Merold; five
grandchildren: Lindsay (Jesse) Holloman, Leslie
(Claire) Froschauer, Alyssa (Nick) Watson, Brittany
(Justin Watts) Merold, and Brooke Merold; 9 great-grandchildren:
Preslee, Peighton, Berkley, Olivia, Huck, Bray,
Raegan, Rowan, and Ridge; two sisters: Dolores
Maxheimer and Nancy Dittus; and one brother, John
Hein. |

Juanita was preceded in death by
three brothers: William "Billy", Erich "Dit", and
Gordon Ray Hein.
Juanita was a 1954 graduate of Mt. Pulaski High
School.
She began her career in the Lincoln City Clerk’s
office as a Deputy Clerk in March 1, 1971. She was
then appointed to the position of City Clerk on
February 1, 1987, where she remained until her
retirement on April 30, 2003.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in
Lincoln. Juanita especially loved reading and
spending time with her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Mt.
Pulaski.
Final Arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
