- Robert Stanley “Bob” Cooper, 81, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on
Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. .

A graveside service for Bob will be held at 11 a.m.
on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at New Union Cemetery
in Lincoln, IL

Obituary
Robert Stanley “Bob” Cooper, 81, of
Lincoln, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 2,
2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Bob was born April 14, 1944, in Lincoln, IL, the son
of Stanley and Alma (Steffens) Cooper. He married
Mary Ann Murphy on December 17, 1966, in Peoria, IL.
She preceded him in death in 2017.
Bob is survived by his dear friend and companion,
Patricia Bay and her three children, Nicholas Bay,
Brian Culnan, and Karen Flagg; one brother, Dave
“Jake” Cooper; and his two nieces, Tammy Olt and Kim
Lussenhop.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son,
Darren Scott Cooper; and sister, Linda Wolters
Bob proudly served in the United States Marines. He
was a member of Lincoln Zion Lutheran Church and
American Legion Post #263.

A graveside service for Bob will be
held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at
New Union Cemetery in Lincoln, IL, where full
military rites will be accorded by the American
Legion Post #263. Memorials may be made in Bob’s
name to the American Legion Post #263. Arrangements
have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
