Obituary
Janet A. Van Dorn,
84, of Lincoln, passed away October 4, 2026, at St.
Clara's Manor with her family by her side.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be
held at 11 AM On Friday, October 23, 2026, at New
Union Cemetery.
Janet was born February 2, 1942, in Portland, OR.,
the daughter of Harold Worthington Cameron and
Dorothy Arlene (Wolgast). She graduated high school
in California and then went to Elgin Community
College for 2 years. Janet enjoyed travel. Her
father was in sales, so they moved a lot. Janet was
an administrative secretary in real estate and
worked in the Lincoln school district. She worked at
Midwest records storage after retirement. Janet was
an animal lover, enjoyed music and dancing, reading,
and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Cameron Rich Van
Dorn (Sarah) Diane Van Dorn (Tony); grandchildren: Taylor Wibben (Hannah),
Christopher Slack, Garrett Slack; several great grandchildren; and brother
Michael Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Butch, Bob, Carroll, and
Daryl, and her beloved dog Jaxie and cat Susie.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County and will be
accepted at the funeral home.
