Obituary

In Loving Memory
of Jeffrey Paul Denning

Jeffrey Paul Denning passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, at the age of 61. Born on December 5, 1962, Jeff was a loving and dedicated father, a loyal friend, and a caring soul who left a profound mark on all who knew him.

He is survived by his cherished daughters, Ashley Hendricks (Mike) and Whitney Hendricks (Tim), whose lives he filled with love and wisdom. He also held a special place in his heart for his stepchildren and adored his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. His family meant the world to him, as did his beloved dogs, who were defining aspects of his life.

Jeff is also survived by his brother John Denning (Arlene) and his sister Ann Matson (Randy).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and John Denning; his brother, Mike Denning; and his wife, Julie Denning. The love and memories of those he lost remained sources of strength and guidance throughout his life.

A respected figure in Corrections, Jeff was admired by his colleagues for his integrity, commitment, and compassion. His work left a lasting legacy, as did the warmth and humor he shared with family and friends.

At his request, there will be no formal services. A private family celebration of life will be held at a future date to honor the memory of a man whose spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jeff’s honor to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, reflecting his deep love for animals.

Rest in peace, Jeffrey Paul Denning. You are loved beyond measure and will be missed more than words can express.
