Obituary
Wanda A. Lasswell, 84,
of McLean, passed away at McLean County Nursing Home
on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Memorial Services for Wanda will be held on
Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Funks Grove Chapel in
rural McLean. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.
with services led by with Rev. Deborah J. Johnston
beginning at 11:00 a.m. Cremation Rites have been
accorded. Inurnment will be at Funks Grove Cemetery.
Wanda Alberta Foley was born August 24, 1942, in
McLean, IL, a daughter of Roy C. and Dova E. Hafley
Foley. She was united in marriage to Larry A.
Lasswell on April 20, 1962. He survives.
Wanda is also survived by three children: Brad
(Alice Kay) Lasswell, Barry (Richard Flores)
Lasswell, and Becky (Joe) Gaither; six
grandchildren: Sabrina Mason, Kylie Mason, Ben
Lasswell, Adam Gaither, Evan Gaither, and Alec
Gaither; one great-grandson, Jasper Judge-Gaither;
and five siblings: Lois Prochnow, Jean Heck, Carolyn
Hardesty, Susie Miner, and Sherron (Gene) Jones.

She was preceded in
death by one daughter, Brenda Mason; and six
siblings: Louise Erickson, Bob Foley, Mae Dickerson,
Betsy Crabtree, Roy Foley, Jr., and Richard Foley.
Wanda was a 1960
graduate of McLean-Waynesville-Armington High
School. She had worked for Funk Seeds as an
administrative assistant and retired from McLean
County Law & Justice Center Circuit Clerk’s office
where she had worked as a Deputy Clerk.
She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, sewing, watching golf,
the Hallmark Channel, and HGTV.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Fire
Protection District.
