Obituary

Michael "Redneck" Goff, born June 30, 1967, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Tamatha Goff of Winona, MN, and their four children: Amanda Coppinger of Lincoln, IL; Ashley (Chris) LaForge of New Holland, IL; James (Liz) Goff of Colona, IL; Samantha Goff of Winona, MN; and his loyal companion, Fred. Michael cherished his role as a father in addition to his responsibility as a grandfather to Remington, Griffin, Eleanor, and Lorelei.

He is also survived by his siblings, Reynold (Phyllis) Goff of Chestnut, IL; and Sharon (Tub) Baker of Lincoln, IL, as well as his brother-in-law, Michael Allers of Lincoln, IL; sister-in-law, Rose Parrett of St. Louis, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray “Slick” Goff, mother, Myrtle Goff, and brother, Byron Goff.

Michael was cremated at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona, MN, and will be laid to rest in Lincoln, IL. His family has honored him with his friends in Winona, MN and will do so in Lincoln, IL as well. We wish to invite you to join us on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Eagle's Lodge in Lincoln, IL to honor his memory here before laying him to rest.

Michael dedicated his time to support those he cared for, embodying what he received in return. Michael’s tenacity, kindness, humor, and deep love for his family and friends will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
