LCHS Male and Female Athletes of
the Year are Karson Komnick and Lily Holmes

Lincoln Community High School has announced that Karson
Komnick and Lily Holmes are the male and female athletes of the
year.
Karson Komnick
Komnick played basketball and baseball all four years of his high
school career, excelling in both sports. He scored over 1,000 points
on the basketball court as a member of the Lincoln Railers. He was
also named the State Journal Register Player of the Year.
Komnick, who was the Railsplitters catcher and lead-off hitter on
the baseball field, has chosen to continue his collegiate baseball
career at Morton Community College.
Lily Holmes
Holmes was a three-sport athlete during her career at LCHS, an elite
accomplishment in itself. Her dedication and commitment to
volleyball, basketball and softball allowed her to achieve many
honors and even state medals.

Holmes was a member of the 2023 Lady Railers
runner-up state basketball team, the 2024 Lady Railers state
championship basketball team and the 2023 Lady Railers state
runner-up volleyball team.
Congratulations to both of these fine athletes for all of their hard
work throughout their high school careers! |
