Mount Pulaski Shotgun Sports Team
repeats Trifecta

The Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers Shotgun Sports Team has once
again achieved an extraordinary accomplishment, capturing the 2026
Illinois State Championships in Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays.
This marks the second consecutive year the program has achieved the
coveted “Trifecta” by winning all three state titles.
The Sporting Clay Tournament was held at NILO Farms in Brighton,
Illinois on Saturday, June 13th.
The Hilltoppers dominated the Sporting Clays competition, sweeping
the Varsity Boys division and claiming all three individual medals:
1st: Beau Tshantz – 88
2nd: Colten Romines – 86
3rd: Josh Pritchard – 85
Additional top Sporting Clays scores for Mt. Pulaski included:
Hayden Hartman – 80
Kyle Marten – 78
Hawken Clampet – 78
Leading the way for the Hilltoppers was Beau Tschantz, who earned
the title of High Gun Overall, recording the highest score of the
tournament.
The team’s female athletes also delivered outstanding performances,
with every Mt. Pulaski competitor earning a state medal in her
respective division:
1st Place Novice Female: Leah Luka
2nd Place JV Female: Annalyse Helm
3rd Place JV Female: Eva Leonard
1st Place Varsity Female: Danielle Luka

Winning all three state championships in Trap, Skeet, and Sporting
Clays for the second consecutive year is a remarkable achievement
and a testament to the hard work and commitment of these athletes
throughout the season.
The team would also like to thank its sponsors, volunteers,
families, and community supporters for their continued investment in
the program. Their generosity, encouragement, and dedication provide
opportunities for our athletes to compete at the highest level and
achieve success both on and off the range.
