Calvin Aukamp’s Eagle Scout
project building a Gaga ball pit

For his Eagle Scout project,
Calvin Aukamp is working on putting up a Gaga ball pit by one of the
playgrounds at Kickapoo Park in Lincoln. Monday, October 13, the
project moved one step closer to completion when concrete was poured
in the pit. Aukamp and other scouts have been working on the project
since early September by digging up the area for the pit, putting
sand in it, spreading gravel and then putting up forms for the
foundation. After the concrete was poured, Aukamp and others
smoothed it out. In the next couple of weeks, they will put up the
sides for the Gaga ball pit.
