LEAD continues summer series “Cup O’ Joe with a Pro” to support local entrepreneurs
Lincoln business community invited to connect with professionals over coffee

[June 10, 2026]

LINCOLN, IL — Local entrepreneurs and small business owners will once again have the opportunity to gain valuable insights and mentorship this summer during LEAD’s continuing “Cup O’ Joe with a Pro” summer event series, with its first installment on Thursday, June 11 at Guest House Coffee & Pastries in downtown Lincoln. Held monthly from June through September, these informal, one-hour morning sessions will feature free coffee, casual conversation, and direct access to local industry professionals.

Each session is designed to deliver focused, practical guidance on key aspects of business development.

The first session, led by Scott McCoy, Director of Tourism for the City of Lincoln, will explore how small businesses in Lincoln can benefit from and align with the city’s tourism efforts to draw more visitors into their businesses.

All events will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Guest House Coffee & Pastries, located at 113 S. Kickapoo Street. Attendees will enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning and networking.

“This summer series offers a welcoming, low-pressure opportunity for local entrepreneurs to connect with experienced professionals and gain practical insights,” said Uriah Kilgallin, the new CEO of LEAD, who will be in attendance and is excited to greet and connect with business and community members throughout the event. “Our goal is to create a relaxed environment where individuals can come in, enjoy a cup of coffee, and leave with actionable ideas they can immediately put to work in their businesses.”
