Emden Sons of The American Legion
Post 506 will be hosting the annual Emden Homecoming event Friday
July 18 and Saturday July 19, 2025.

We are excited to have Earnie
Jeckel as the Emden Homecoming Parade Grand Marshall. Earnie is
proudly marking 60 years of dedicated service with the Emden
Volunteer Fire Department!
Earnie joined the department in 1965, became Assistant Chief in
1981, and was named Fire Chief in 1986, a position he held with
honor and dedication for 36 years until 2022. While he stepped down
as chief, Earnie continues to actively serve with the department
today, showing his unwavering commitment to the safety and
well-being of our community.
Thank you Earnie for six decades of service, leadership, and
heart!!!

Friday July 18
Townwide Garage Sales - 8:00am - 3:00pm (maps available - 14+ homes)
Aaron's Balloon's - 6:00pm - 8:00pm
SAL 50/50 Raffle Tickets - drawing on Saturday July 19 - need not be
present to win
Emden Historical open at 5:30pm
Variety of street games - 6:30pm
Rock Climbing Wall and Bounce House - 6:30pm
SAL Food stand - 6:30pm
Face Painting by Megan Neikirk - 6:30pm
Music provided by Matt Miller - 7pm (bring a lawn chair!)

19
Townwide Garage Sales - 8am - 12:00 (some may stay open later
than noon)
Wiffle Ball Tournament at Luther Field - 8:00am
SAL Pork Chop Sandwiches at the Emden Community House - 9:00am
Emden Homecoming Parade - 2:00pm
Kiddie Tractor Pull at Whistle Stop - immediately following the
parade
Emden Historical open at 5:30pm
Magician Steve Belliveau - 6pm - 8pm
SAL 50/50 Raffle Tickets - drawing on Saturday July 19 - need
not be present to win
Variety of street games - 6:30pm

In addition to the weekend
activities the Sons of the American Legion Post 506 are selling
1/2 Hog Raffle Tickets. Two half hog winners, includes standard
processing. Only 200 tickets will be sold. Drawing will be
during the Emden Homecoming on July 19, 2025. Need not be
present to win. Tickets are available at Farmers State Bank of
Emden, Stag r Inn or any SAL member.
Please join us for a weekend of fun and festivities as we
support the Sons of the American Legion!!
