Lincoln hosts free FAFSA Workshop

LINCOLN, IL, Jan. 22, 2025 – Heartland
Community College Lincoln will host a workshop to assist local high
school seniors and prospective college students to complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-26 academic
year.
The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the
FAFSA form. Heartland financial aid and Illinois Student Assistance
Commission (ISAC) representatives will lead the session, help
students and parents at the session to fill out the form, and answer
questions about financial aid options.
The workshop takes place Monday, January 27 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
at Heartland Community College Lincoln, 2201 Woodlawn Road. The
workshop will begin with a FAFSA presentation at 5:30pm with staff
available to answer questions and help complete the application
until 7:00 p.m. There is no cost to attend.
Participants should bring:
Driver’s license or state ID and Social Security Number
2023 Federal Income Tax Forms and W-2s
Amount of any untaxed income received in 2023
An FSA ID to sign in electronically

parents will need to create their own FSA ID and complete
required information

-Social Security Number
-Date of Birth
This session is open to the public. Seating is limited, and RSVP
