Fifth Street Road update
[May 29, 2026]
Beginning next Wednesday, June 3,
2026, paving operations are tentatively planned to begin on the
section of 5th Street Road that is currently closed. The base layer
has been graded to elevation, surveying and the setting of pavement
elevation hubs to guide the paving machines will take place today
and tomorrow. It is imperative that no one drives on this surface as
it may cause damage to the subgrade material or disturb elevation
hubs or string lines. Please obey all traffic control signs and stay
out of the construction area. If anyone decides to not follow
traffic control signs they could receive traffic citations and be
held financially responsible for damage or delays to the project.
