[February 11, 2026]
A number of downtown, and other
local businesses, will be taking part in a Galentine's Day event on

Flip with a $50 special and $25 wellness injections.
Closer to downtown at 533 Woodlawn Road, LuxAeterna Permanent
Jewelry Boutique will have lip and eye masks plus a free cleaning

martinis in addition to their many other drinks.
Top Hat Creamery, 513 Pulaski Street, will offer one free

Downtown Lincoln meeting
Several of these businesses also participated in the Chocolate
Lover’s retail therapy last Saturday. Melanie Welch, who owns the
Bee, felt the day went well. Some businesses said they had fewer
transactions, but sales were mostly up.
Heather Barrick, of Indigo Quilt Studio, has been offering quilting
classes and said they have been going well.
The next retail therapy will be Saturday, July 18th.
Kathy Williams of Small Town Creations reminded the downtown Lincoln
businesses they need to start planning for Nashville Night, which
will be Friday, June 19. She said they were at least six bands last
year. They will be looking for sponsors for the event. These include
two main sponsors at the $1000 level, two rock star sponsors at the
$750 level and sponsors for the opening act at the $250 level.
The downtown Lincoln businesses are looking for ways to promote the
town and talked about ideas such as a Downtown Lincoln, Illinois
website and posting QR codes on their doors. It is something they
will be looking into further.
