Lincoln Community Theatre presents
Broadway musical Into the Woods

Lincoln Community Theatre is
thrilled to present the beloved musical “Into the Woods” from July
23 through 26 at Lincoln Community High School. Audiences are
cordially invited to enjoy Stephen Sondheim’s modern classic
Broadway musical that tells the story of familiar fairy tale
characters on a quest to fulfill their wishes… and what happens
after their wishes come true. “Into the Woods” is directed by Ann
Wolpert and features a live orchestra and a cast and crew of
outstanding local talent.
Music Theater International describes "Into the Woods” as “James
Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook
characters [bringing] them together for a timeless, yet relevant,
piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and
score are both enchanting and touching.”
“The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child;
Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who
wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn
that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two
set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted,
but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later
with disastrous results.”
The cast of “Into the Woods” includes Tim Searby as the narrator,
Melissa Cremeens will play Cinderella, Josh Hellman is Jack, Kim
Peterson-Quinn is Jack’s Mother, Jeff Prince is the Baker and Aubrey
Hawkinson plays his wife. Julie King is Stepmother, Jill Usherwood
is Florida and Shannon Radcliffe is Lucinda, Mike Koke and Kristina
Morrow play Cinderella's father and mother, Karenn Eales is
Granny/Giant, Brian Bolton plays Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince, Paige
Zemsky is Red Riding Hood, Sheralyn Bolton plays the Witch, Marin
Crombie is Rapunzel and Hunter McKinney is her prince. Cameron
Connell plays the Steward, Lacy Buss is Snow White, and Abby Smith
is Sleeping Beauty. Vocal direction and accompaniment of this
“musically sophisticated” show are provided by Dinelle Frankland.
The impressive set is designed and constructed by Jeff Prince and
beautiful costumes are arranged by Kristen Green. Lighting and sound
are designed by David Helm and Devin Vannoy.

Performances of
“Into the Woods” are July 23, 24, and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and July
27 at 2:00 p.m at Lincoln Community High School auditorium in
Lincoln. Tickets are $16 for adults and $11 for students with a
cash discount of $1.00. The box office opens one hour prior to
show time and the auditorium opens 30 minutes prior to the show.
