Warrensburg-Latham Lions Club
collecting donations for holiday gift baskets

Collections of toys and
monetary donations are underway for the 36th annual
Warrensburg-Latham Lions Club Brotherhood Tree. The gift baskets
will be provided to families in need in the Warrensburg-Latham
School District.
Toy donations, for ages newborn to 17, are being collected at both
village halls, the Bank of Latham and the Dollar Generals in
Warrensburg and Sunnyside. The deadline for dropping off the toys is
Friday, Dec. 12. The gifts need to be unwrapped.
Money may be dropped off at the Barclay Public Library in
Warrensburg and the Warrensburg or Latham village halls. The money
will be used to purchase food gift cards for families. Lions Club
members will deliver the gift cards and toys prior to Christmas.

What started in a
small Warrensburg grocery store years ago has progressed into a
community-wide effort, involving the school district, villages
of Warrensburg and Latham, their fire departments, local
churches, area businesses, Da Burg Bar & Grill and individual
donors.
