Friday Night at the Mt Pulaski
Fall Festival

Mt. Pulaski held their annual
Fall Festival on their Courthouse Square this past weekend. Friday
night, the square was busy with people looking to enjoy the start of
their weekend. The Square had plenty to do, from vendors and food
trucks to rock climbing and a petting zoo.
Many of the food trucks and vendors opened at about 5 p.m. The
vendors were selling all manner of goods. Some were selling jewelry
while others were selling shirts. Some tables had fall decor, and
another had mystery bags on sale for $1.
One of the vendors, McLuvn Made,
was selling pumpkin bars, baked goods and drinks. Owner Cara
McClellan has attended several Logan County festivities since McLuvn
Made first opened in April of 2025. While she did not have any at
this festival, McClellan shared that she also makes balloon arches
and other balloon decor.
The food trucks were in abundance
as well. Cheesed Out was there, as was Boomer’s BBQ. We Three Sweets
had their trailer set up just down the block from the red Tacos
Tochimilco truck. Beck’s Old Fashioned Saltwater Taffy was in their
usual spot selling taffy and lemonade shake ups.
In addition to the vendors and food trucks, there was also a dunk
tank. People could pay varying amounts for one or more attempts.
They could also pay $20 to get a guaranteed dunk.

The travelling petting zoo was a
big attraction. Kids and parents went in to feed the various
animals. The zoo had donkeys, goats, rabbits, and even an ostrich.
Parents could pay for some food to feed the animals.
A playground of bounce houses took up about half of East Jefferson
Street. Kids took their shoes off and bounced in one of several
bounce houses or bounce obstacle courses.
The sun began to set, but the events for the evening were not over.
The band Outland began playing at 7 p.m. Before the band came out,
an intro played to introduce each member of the band. This intro was
comical, using a mix of sarcasm and facts about each member.
Outland came to the stage shortly
after. Their set included covers of many different songs, mostly
country. They played as the sun went down and several hours after,
keeping the energy for the fall festival alive well into the night.
