Railsplitting Festival to join Balloons Over 66 weekend

LINCOLN IL - The Logan
Railsplitting Association has some exciting news! We are moving the
dates of the 2026 Abraham Lincoln National Railsplitting Festival to
Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30th, from 10:00 am to 4:00
pm, both days. The event will still take place at the beautiful
Postville Courthouse, and the VFW, on 5th street in Lincoln.
We are excited to be joining the weekend of the Balloons over 66
and the other wonderful events that participate during this
event-packed weekend, said Darlene Begolka, Chair of the
Association. In working with the new Lincoln Office of Tourism and
the Balloon Fest organizers, we are thrilled to work together and
make this weekend even bigger for our Community.

2026 also marks a special year
with the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and the 250th anniversary
of America. These two milestones will make this year one to
remember especially since the Railsplitting Festival at the
Postville Courthouse is located on Route 66.
We are thrilled to become part of this huge event weekend for
Lincoln and Logan County!
