Heartland Community College 2026
Service Day

NORMAL, IL, – Heartland
Community College employees and students dedicated a day to
community service on Friday, April 24.
During the Heartland Community College Annual Service Day, over 200
employees and students participated in over 20 projects to better
the community. Project sites included the Boys and Girls Club -
Bloomington, Home Sweet Home Ministries, Hope on 5th in Lincoln,
Pads4Girls Project, Prairie Lands Foundation Munz Park – Fairbury,
Wish Bone Canine Rescue, and many others.
The annual Service Day is a testament to Heartland’s commitment to
making a difference in the community. By volunteering time and
resources, HCC hopes to inspire others to give back to the
community.
“Heartland Service Day is an opportunity to show that small acts of
kindness can have a significant impact on the community,” said
Heartland Associate Director, Community Engagement, Gena Glover.
For Service Day, Heartland employees are encouraged to volunteer for
these projects during their regular work hours.
