Neal Stimpert, EVP/CEP of Atlanta National Bank, re-elected as group director of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI)

[October 14, 2025]  Springfield, IL - Neal Stimpert, EVP/CEO of Atlanta National Bank, was re-elected as group director of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI) at the association's annual convention held recently in Kansas City, MO. As a group director, he serves on the CBAI board of directors, as well as its Strategic Planning and Membership Committees.

Stimpert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. He graduated from the Graduate School of Banking, Madison, WI, Class of 2023. Stimpert is currently serving on the CBAI Legislation and Regulation Committee.

His banking career started with Herget Bank, NA, Pekin and National City Bank, Pekin as an assistant vice president and branch manager. He then went back to Herget Bank, NA, Pekin, as a senior vice president and then served at Busey Bank, Peoria as a senior vice president/team lead of business banking. He is currently at the Atlanta National Bank as executive vice president and CEO.

Stimpert's civil duties include serving as the chairperson of the Pekin Insurance Holiday Tournament since 2018. He served as the United Way of Peking Campaign Chair in 2006. He received the Pekin Rotary Club Barney Maticka Award (volunteer service to youth) in 2005.
