Whistle Stop Library hosts
colorful and fun Halloween Party
[October 28, 2026]
Whistle Stop Library hosted a
Halloween party with games, treats, and prizes.
The inside and outside of the
library were decorated for Halloween on Thursday October 22nd; the
car out front even had a skeleton sitting in the front passenger
seat waving as cars drove by.
Inside the main room, decorations and a scarecrow sat beside a bowl
full of goodies for the children. Further inside, a large inflatable
ghost sat near the front windows, and the back room held games,
treats, and prizes.
One game the children enjoyed was
ring toss. Halloween-colored rings were used to toss onto an
inflatable witch’s hat. Another game was the pumpkin bag toss.
Prizes included Halloween masks, light-up necklaces,
glow-in-the-dark items, and slime.

Treats included chips, cookies,
crackers, and Kool-Aid. Director Ladonna Gass and volunteer Dottie
Russell assisted the children as they played the games and collected
their prizes and treats. Parents and grandparents enjoyed watching
the children and took pictures as they played.
